Ingredients
Makes - 4 cups gravy
1/4 cup butter
1 teaspoon salt
1/4 cup flour
4 cups chicken broth (or your preferred kind of broth)
1 Tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
Pepper (to taste)
Salt (to taste)
optional: 1 capful of Kitchen Bouquet Gravy Sauce or your choice of browning sauce (next time we will use DARK soy sauce).
1. In a small separate bowl, mix together salt and flour.
2. Over low heat, melt the butter in a small saucepan.
3. Add the flour mixture to the butter.
4. Cook over medium heat for 3 minutes, stirring continuously.
5. Add chicken broth and stir well with a whisk to get rid of any lumps.
6. Over low heat, continue to whisk. STAY at the stove, stirring the entire time.
7. Shut off the heat.
8. Optional: Add the capful of Kitchen Bouquet.
9. Season to taste with salt and pepper.
10. If you get lumps, then pour the gravy through a fine sieve.
